StrengthsFinder 2.0®: Introduction to Investing in Strengths Based Leadership

Take your strengths based development to the next level with this workshop specifically designed to explore the interactions and dynamics of talents in a team context. By exploring the unique talent profile of your team members, we will uncover how such differences may explain the challenges your team faces, and also discover the potential opportunities that lie in such differences. Coaching for managers of strengths based teams is also available.

Megan is a Gallup Certified Strengths® Coach using the CliftonStrengths™ assessment. To date, over 20 million people have used this tool to discover their talents. In this interactive workshop, we will help employees discover their unique talents, and explore how to invest in those talents to create leadership strengths. While most people enjoy taking their CliftonStrengths assessment, there is often an issue of “now what” that follows after they see their results. This workshop will help you answer that question by providing actionable strategies and tools for success.

The most experienced executives often struggle to clarify the driving values and vision that make them uniquely qualified to lead. In this workshop, we will explore your values, your unique leadership differential, and the power of revealing weakness in enlisting followers to engage in a common vision. You will develop your own leadership vision statement to guide your decisions and leadership strategy.

Lean in? The Role of Gender in 21st Century Leadership

This workshop focuses on gender’s role in leadership in the 21st century. Do women define success and ambition the same way men do? Are such differences at the root of the gender gap in upper levels of leadership? Why are success and likeability positively correlated for men, but negatively correlated for women? How can organizations better support men who want to have more work-life balance? Do women have a responsibility to lean in to leadership positions if they are offered? This workshop will utilize both academic research and practical experiences of participants to explore these thought-provoking questions.

Emotional Intelligence: Sharpening your Leadership EQ

Emotional intelligence has been shown to be a key differentiator between average leaders and outstanding ones. At the executive level, EQ has been shown to account for up to 90% of the difference between average and excellent leadership abilities. The good news? EQ can be developed and learned. In this workshop, we will explore what is meant by Emotional Intelligence, assess each participant’s own EQ, and discuss practical strategies for building your emotional quotient.

The DNA of Effective Teams

The ultimate goal of effective teams is to create “social capital”–to understand and utilize the complementary and unique talents of each team member in a way that results in greater impact than those members could have alone. In this workshop, we will dissect what differentiates a group from a team, how teams can leverage complementary talents, and utilize exercises and simulations to improve team dynamics and performance.
